Description

Inflammation causes considerable loss of function and pain. Mucosal inflammatory diseases affect the lining of the mouth, GI tract, respiratory tract, and genito-urinary tract and are caused by infections, allergens, environmental and food toxins, and auto-immune reactions. The goal is to implement an interdisciplinary training network to educate a new generation of investigators who will apply team-oriented research training to the generation of new diagnosis/treatment strategies for the prevention and management of mucosal inflammatory diseases.
