Description
Attaining health equity (i.e., eliminating unfair health inequalities) among older adults is a barometer for successful aging of a population. Building on the health inequity measurement approach that this team has developed, this study will compare levels of health inequity in the older population across three countries - Canada, France, and Japan - with distinct health and social systems as well as cultural expectations regarding aging. The proposed study will take advantage of the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) for Canada and similar surveys in France and Japan.
