Description

This grant will provide continued funding for Dow Jones News Fund summer workshops across the nation to train high school-age youths in health journalism. Students will apply journalistic skills to examine the health of their communities, looking at demographics, the physical environment, and the impact of inequitable government policies and business decisions on health and well-being in underresourced communities. The workshops will teach high school students the rudiments of researching, writing, and reporting in the digital age, while tackling issues on which their lives and futures depend.
