A Wrist-Mounted, Motion-Activated, Audible Training Unit for Visually Impaired Infants

Abstract

The design and preliminary evaluation of a motion-activated audible alarm unit is presented. The unit is to replace eye-hand coordination in visually impaired infants by ear-hand coordination. The unit produces a 4096 Hz tone only during the time it is in motion in any direction.
