Adaptation of a stereotaxic ear bar for neurophysiological studies of the visual system in rodents

Abstract

An adaptation of the stereotaxic ear bar is described. The adaptation provides an unobstructed visual field and leaves the cranium completely accessible. The animal can then be positioned using conventional Horsley-Clarke horizontal coordinates.
