Clinical swept-source optical coherence tomography of the middle ear

Abstract

We report the first clinical results from a swept-source optical coherence tomography system designed for clinical imaging of the middle ear. The system shows promise for a range of applications in otology including functional imaging of middle ear muscle contraction and postsurgical monitoring of prosthesis migration.
