There are 14 papers on: the evolution of modern cephalopods; physiological adaptations; nutrition; physiological and evolutionary aspects of ammonia production; muscle metabolism; mantle and circulatory system; some aspects of cardiac dynamics in Octopus vulgaris; four papers on cephalopod haemocyanins; squid Loligo forbesi performance and metabolic rates; systematics and the lifestyle and performance of cephalopods; and a review of ammonia-mediated buoyancy in squids. -J.W.Cooper
