Abstract

Programs from the Dalhousie ECG analysis package were used as part of the software for two applications: (1) body surface potential mapping, and (2) magnetocardiogram analysis, an approach which made the task of programming and implementation relatively easy. Other advantages of this approach were: significant noise reduction by selective averaging; ability to study other signals recorded simultaneously with the ECG; and the possibility of isolating for further analysis events that have different characteristics from the majority.
