Abstract

Our knowledge in neurobiology of eating disorders has been rapidly increasing together with other psychiatric research. It provides interesting insight in the interaction between central and peripheral mechanism of eating behaviour and psychology under normal and stress conditions and their relations with enviromental and genetic factors. Modern methodology makes possible to compare the pathogenesis of eating disorders with other close psychiatric (OCD, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, somatoform disorders and others) and somatic (obesity, diabetes) diagnoses and comorbidities.
