Abstract

In 1970 the authors presented a paper on 'Facial Clefting and Its Syndromes', and reported 72 conditions, most being real, while a few were chance associations. During the next five years, they tabulated 117 syndromes of orofacial clefting. This was expanded to 133 conditions in 1976; during the last six months of 1976, the authors have independently gathered another series. The clinical findings in these 'newer' clefting syndromes are presented.
