Abstract

In winter 1982-83 blackfaced leafhopper overwintered poorly in orchard grass Dactylis glomerata, better on ryegrass Lolium perenne, and best on tall fescue Festuca arundinacea. Data suggests that G. nigrifrons overwintered as eggs. Stadia of development for G. nigrifrons were one week longer on fescue than on ryegrass. -from Authors
