Abstract

This paper describes a recently developed technology the 'DeVoe-Holbein Technology', which has been found to have distinct advantages over existing technologies for the treatment of certain waste waters arising from the metal finishing industry. The DeVoe-Holbein (D-H) technology consists of a series of new and unique synthetic media (compositions) and processes for their use in the management of metal containing waste water. The nature and characteristics of D-H media and their utility in the metal finishing industry are demonstrated.
