Abstract

An understanding of the structure.function (SF) relationship can aid the clinician to grade disease severity and understand reasons for SF dissociation. Units, variability and measurement range for structural and functional parameters can influence the SF relationship in glaucoma. The (Hood.Kardon) simple linear model and (Harwerth) non-linear model are two contemporary models to link structure and function. Knowledge of anatomical correspondence of structure and function can help the clinician 'match' the region of disc damage with corresponding VF damage.
