Abstract
A patient who developed a psychotic state in association with hypophosphatemia is presented. There was no evidence for other causes of psychosis and the clinical features disappeared with phosphate replacement. It is suggested that hypophosphatamia be considered in a patient with an unexplained acute psychosis.
