Abstract

Seventeen patients (21 eyes) with primary glaucoma without previous surgery underwent a trabeculectomy with intraoperative 5-fluoracil. After a mean follow-up of 5,9 ± 2,6 months, the intraocular pressure (IOP) was ≤ 21 mmHg in all patients. Sixteen eyes (76,2%) had an IOP ≤ 14 mmHg without medication. Five eyes (23,8%) had choroidal effusion with shallow anterior chamber and one eye (4,8%) had positive seidel.
