Description
This Foundation initiative, Diversifying the Leadership Pipeline in the Financial Sector to Promote Systems Change and Equity, was designed to: (1) help diversify the financial-sector workforce by supporting organizations engaged in diversifying the leadership pipeline; and (2) support learning activities designed to increase RWJF's understanding of diversity-promoting programs across sectors and how they can contribute to systems change and to health, well-being, and equity.This grant will enable the Robert Toigo Foundation (Toigo) to realize its overall mission of transforming the performance of financial organizations through education and strategies that drive greater inclusion and through the ongoing development and promotion of exceptional leaders from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. Toigo works at the institutional and individual levels in the finance sector, promoting more diverse and inclusive organizations while contributing to the advancement of underrepresented minority talent. RWJF funding will support Toigo's project, Leadership Equity: Bridging the Gap, to: (1) develop and launch an online learning platform; (2) create additional educational content for underrepresented minority talent; (3) advance employer awareness of the importance of inclusion; and (4) evaluate Toigo's last 30 years of organizational impact and its opportunities for the future.
