Description
The Foundation's Change Leadership Program was designed to support the applicant solicitation and selection, launch, and first year of participant activities for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's four new Leadership for Better Health programs.Further, the Foundation's Clinical Scholars Program is a three-year fellowship for clinically active health care providers that aims to provide clinicians with the opportunity to build and develop the unique skills they need to lead communities toward a Culture of Health. This grant supports the participant's engagement in the Clinical Scholars program (the 'program'). Over the course of the three-year program, the participant will have the opportunity to build and develop the unique skills needed to lead communities toward a Culture of Health. During the program, the participant is expected to spend up to 12 days per year in in-person learning experiences; two or more hours per week on distance-based learning; and additional time in implementing the participant's project. Program activities will include, but are not limited to, one-on-one leadership development opportunities, peer-to-peer learning, small-group projects, large-group experiences that focus on 'learning by doing,' and team-based learning through a project tackling a 'wicked' problem. Grant funds will support research or program activities consistent with the approved budget, but will not: (1) subsidize an individual's health care, clinical trials of unapproved drugs or devices, construction or renovation of facilities, or lobbying or political activities, or (2) substitute for funds currently being used to support similar activities.
