Description

The Models and Access Atlas of Primary Care in Nova Scotia (MAAP-NS), is a three-year Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation funded study led by a multidisciplinary research team with provincial and district knowledge users. MAAP-NS collected data on provider and practice characteristics, and access to, and availability of, primary care in Nova Scotia. This data is being linked to administrative data for patient outcomes by models of care, provider characteristics and accessibility. MAAP-NS provides evidence on gaps in service availability and the efficacy of primary care practice models that will inform policy recommendations for improved access and patient experiences.
