Description
The Nova Scotia Primary and Integrated Health Care Innovations (NS-PIHCI) Network will support primary and integrated health care research in Nova Scotia, bringing together stakeholders from research, policy, and clinical backgrounds from within and outside of health care. The goal is to create an integrated research network focused on populations with complex needs. As a member of CIHR's pan-Canadian SPOR Network, NS-PIHCI will allow Nova Scotians to benefit from participating in and learning from cross-provincial research and applied changes in health care across the country. The NS-PIHCI will see health services working better together, be better coordinated, be focused on the community and include not only better health care delivery but be connected to ways to prevent the development of complex care needs. The funding will allow for the development of a "rapid-learning" environment responding to the needs of decision-makers, clinicians and other stakeholders.
