Description

This NSERC CREATE program for regenerative medicine (NCPRM) aims to provide multi/trandisciplinary formation to highly qualified personnnel to support the field of regenerative medicine in Canada, by giving access to graduate students to state-of-the-art expertise and diversified resources, thanks to its coast-to-coast membership as well as the international network that was put in place over the years by each member of NCPRM. Our aim is not only to form the future academic researchers in the field, but also to provide students with the knowledge to be involved in future start-up companies, government laboratories, or not-for-profit organizations, therefore reinforcing the Canadian economy. In this context, the NCPRM members have identified four main objectives that are:1- Provide trainees with a multi/transdisciplinary education on subjects related to regenerative medicine; 2- Encourage trainee mobility through the organization of research training across Canada, but also in foreign countries in both academic and industrial environments;3- Provide trainees with non-traditional information in fields such as ethics, legislation, regulation, marketing, management, technology transfer, and communication that will become prerequisite information for tomorrow's scientists;4- Provide the NCPRM trainees with an added-value, therefore enabling their easy insertion into the labour market.
