Description
Chronic lower back pain (LBP) is the leading cause of disability worldwide and is the number one cause of lost work days in North America. According to Statistics Canada, 4 out of 5 adults will experience at least one episode of back pain, or spine related disorder, at some point in their lives. Spinal surgery has been shown to be effective in certain patient populations for certain conditions. The objective of this project is to determine which patients will benefit the most from a particular spinal surgery, in order to treat them with the right treatment options.
