Resumen

AUTHORS' SYNOPSIS: Cineangiography showed that for the ascending thoracic aorta of 25 patients, under normal conditions of pulse pressure, the pressure strain elastic modulus (Ep), the modulus of elasticity (Eθ), and the pulse wave velocity (c) were 30% smaller in magnitude than previously reported results obtained using surgical strain gauge techniques. The results agree well with those reported by other investigators who have used non-invasive measurement techniques.
