Resumen

In the first part [10] the development of the concept of motivational therapy, its indications, comparison with other therapeutic methods and clinical use were described. The aim of motivational therapy is to increase rapidly the patient's internal motivation for change, based on the actual motivational stage, to facilitate the success of future treatment and reduce the number of drop outs. In this part, the authors provide practical examples of motivational interviews, incl. examples of pitfalls of this procedure in clinical practice.
