Resumen

We are currently investigating the ionic currents responsible for these differences. Nonlinear modeling of action potential production in the two types of neurons is being conducted to help identify the basis of their functional differences. Preliminary results indicate that action potential encoding can be successfully modeled by a Volterra series, and that significant differences in the dynamic properties of the two neuron types persist during random stimulation.
