Resumen

A significant inverse relationship was found between the severity of the hyperplasia and the duration of Dilantin (SDH). The severity of hyperplasia and inflammation was found to vary significantly and inversely with oral hygiene scores. Tooth brushing twice a day and the application of Oxygel showed no significant clinical changes on the inflammation and hyperplasia in the test group, whereas the control group using a placebo showed a moderate reduction in gingival inflammation.
