Resumen
The town of Beauharnois, P.Q., may have an elevated level of airborne fluoride. Urine samples from 46 school children were analysed for fluoride content with an ion specific electrode. Beauharnois drinking water is fluoridated at 0.8 ppm. Mean urinary fluoride was 0.97 ppm with standard deviation of 0.42 ppm. The manufacture of aluminum and the biological effects of fluoride on man are briefly reviewed.
