Détails sur le projet

Description

This research extends the work of a three-year National Crime Prevention Centre study. It will tell us more about how to effectively measure resilience among high-risk youth across French, English and Aboriginal communities. We are particularly interested in understanding how adolescents achieve outcomes like a sense of citizenship, healthy family relationships and commitment to education. This research will help both policy makers and front-line human services workers understand the pathways to well-being among diverse populations of young people. Because the study focuses on different cultures and contexts, it will position Canada as a world leader in the study of resilience as a culturally-embedded concept.
