Détails sur le projet
Description
The purpose of this project is to continue the development of a framework to protect consumers' health data. There is an increasing amount of consumer data developed by wearable devices, internet browsing, and other activities. The use of those data has great implications for consumers. Over the past 12 months, the eHealth Initiative and the Center for Democracy and Technology have worked to develop a comprehensive self-regulatory framework designed to protect consumers' health-related information. The grantees will continue working with consumer and industry groups to refine the framework; more fully develop the organizational structure of the self-regulatory initiative; and conduct research to assess how the framework can optimally address health equity. The deliverables will be meetings, policymaker briefings, and a draft report.
