Détails sur le projet
Description
The proposed Tier II Canada Research Chair in Cold Regions Ecological Engineering will focus on the following two goals: (i) Development of design guidelines and optimization strategies for passive, eco-engineered wastewater treatment systems in cold and arctic climates, (ii) Development of novel monitoring techniques for assessing treatment mechanisms and microbial fate in eco-engineered wastewater systems and surface water systems receiving effluent discharges. Results from this research program will lead to the development of cost-effective solutions for managing wastewater in remote and Northern communities in Canada.
