Description
Due to significant advances in data production, storage and dissemination, our society enters a new era where the sheer amount of data is overwhelming our capacity for interpretation and utilization to support scientific, economicand societal advances. Different computational solutions have been proposedto tackle this data deluge problem, including promising approaches devised in the visualization field. My research aim is to develop new visualization toolsand techniques for time-dependent data to support trend and evolutionanalysis. Different application domains will be explored, ranging from sportsanalysis to environmental monitoring, potentially improving and impacting the daily routines of different users.
