Détails sur le projet

Description

Stillbirth impacts over 2500 families in Australia and New Zealand, and over 2.64 million families worldwide annually. It is recognised that there is a link between stillbirth and DFM – with women who report DFM at a 2.4-fold increased risk of stillbirth. However, translating this into an effective intervention has been challenging. The aim of this project is to determine whether the implementation of DFM awareness and management initiatives increased the rate of induction of labour for DFM or impacted pre-specified obstetric and neonatal outcomes or service utilisation. This project is a single-centre retrospective cohort study at RBWH conducted over a seven-year period between August 2014 and August 2021. All pregnant women who presented to the RBWH birth suite and Obstetric Review Centre were included in the study (N = 32234). The intervention was commencement of recruitment in the My Baby's Movement Trial in February 2018. The pre-intervention (August 2014 - February 2018) and post-intervention (February 2018 - August 2021) cohorts were 3.5 years duration.
