Description

This grant supports insurance navigators and others assisting consumers during the 2018 open enrollment period (OEP2108) by updating and improving the Center on Health Insurance Reforms Navigator Resource Guide on Private Health Insurance and the Health Insurance Marketplaces (the Guide), available at https://navigatorguide.georgetown.edu/. In 2013, RWJF funded the development of the original set of frequently asked questions on private health insurance and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplaces. There have been several federal-level policy changes that necessitate updates to the Guide, and there are likely to be additional policy changes that may impact OEP2018. The Guide is used by those assisting consumers during the eligibility and enrollment process for ACA coverage as well as by state insurance departments, patient advocacy groups, health care reporters, and other stakeholders.
