Résumé
The synthesis and use of a novel DNA probe that gives clear, highly polymorphic DNA fingerprints for salmonid fishes is described. When used at high stringency, the Ssal‐rep probe detects a group of minisatellite sequences limited to the Salmonidae and related families.
