Résumé
In the submitted review the authors present contemporary findings on the use of two atypical neuroleptics, clozapine and risperidone, in the treatment of mood disorders. In the introduction they summarize views on the role of so-called classical neuroleptics in this indication. In the subsequent part they comment the most important literary sources concerned with the use of clozapine and risperidone in the treatment of different types of impaired mood. Despite methodological limitations of hitherto accomplished studies, the authors conclude that both atypical neuroleptics can have their indication in severe and psychotic mood disorders which do not respond to common treatment.
