Résumé
Atypical neuroleptic drugs seem hopeful drugs for effective intervention in schizophrenia with an early onset which is one of the difficult therapeutic problems. The authors emphasize the effectiveness of atypical neuroleptic drugs on negative symptoms and cognitive deficiencies, which could have a favourable impact on the incidence and intensity of the deficiency syndrome. An advantage is also the good tolerance, which enhances therapeutic compliance. Clinical experience was assembled in particular with clozapine and risperidone, in rare instances also with olanzapine. As regards other atypical neuroleptic drugs so far no relevant data on the effectiveness in early-onset schizophrenia were published.
