Résumé
Migraine is a common often distressing disorder that affects 20% of the population. Much can be done to control and relieve the headaches in these individuals, particularly if they are given a clear understanding of the mechanism of the headache, and the precipitating factors. The physician is there to help them manage their own headaches, but much of the effective management of migraine has to be carried out by the patient. The author gives an extensive review of the classification, pathophysiology, prevention and treatment. (no bibliography)
