Résumé
Pediatric pain has been overlooked as a subject for research and as a clinical problem until recently. Children with cancer have pain from the disease, from the treatment, and from numerous monitoring procedures. Successful management of paediatric cancer pain requires a high level of suspicion, frequent assessment, and aggressive treatment using both psychological and pharmacological techniques. The benefits of good pain control to patient, parents, and health care personnel are immense.
