Resumen

Sera from 48 patients with chronic multiple sclerosis (MS) were examined for the presence of immune complexes using both the I125 Clq binding assay and the Raji cell assay. Lymphocytotoxic antibodies were also measured. Circulating complexes were found in only four patients by both assays. There was complete agreement between the two assays and no relationship between the presence of immune complexes and lymphocytotoxic antibodies. The results of this study fail to show a significant increase in circulating immune complexes in our patients with MS.
